Last night we went to the concert of a lifetime! Various turn of events led us to the Rio Tinto stadium sitting in awe as we listening to this musical genius.
I cried through every song...by the last song I was able to get it together and stop crying. (Matt may or may not have also shed some tears).
The night was perfect. Beautiful weather coupled with the energetic singer. He switched from guitar, to piano, keyboard, mandolin and even ukulele. The show was epic, filled with Beatles songs, Wings songs and his solo stuff.
One of my favorite songs was "Live and Let Die" complete with flames and fireworks.
It was surreal to hear songs like Eleanor Rigby, Ob la di-Ob la da, Back in the USSR, Paperback writer, Give Peace a Chance, Let it Be, Hey Jude, Long and Winding Road.
Then came the encores-
In the first encore: Day Tripper, Lady Madonna and Get Back. When the 2nd encore started I started wondering what the final song would be- The 2nd encore was Yesterday, Helter Skelter and fittingly Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The perfect ending to an unforgettable night.
